Caitlin is a volunteer attorney on RIF’s legal team. Caitlin developed a passion for human rights advocacy while growing up in the United Arab Emirates and has been working in the field of international human rights since 2007. Her experience includes working in Morocco to help create a program to train a new generation of human rights lawyers to provide free representation to survivors of torture, working in Ghana to research violence against women and develop a women’s shelter, and working in the United States to represent individuals who have been subjected to CIA torture, extraordinary rendition, arbitrary and indefinite detention, and other human rights abuses carried out by the U.S. government as part of its “War on Terror.” Caitlin has represented asylum seekers since she was a law student in 2012, and it remains the work she finds most challenging and rewarding.
